What we do

The Notre Dame Centre offers a parallel but distinctive service complementary in nature to that provided by the statutory bodies.  Those who come to the Centre are assured of understanding of their individual needs as well as confidentiality and professionals skills.

The Centre has a long held reputation for the provision of a comprehensive, intensive assessment service and treatment programme. A multi-disciplinary approach is taken which both presumes a commitment to the sharing of authority and responsibility and ensures that the needs of clients are dealt with in a holistic way. Once a treatment programme is underway, it is reviewed regularly to affirm that the intervention continues to be relevant.
In addition the Centre provides training, advisory and consultancy services for professionals and others working with children and young people.

 Cost

The Notre Dame Centre is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. It is a not for profit organisation and the costs quoted take account of this and therefore only reflect the need to recover the costs incurred in the running of the Centre.
A detailed costing record for each client is maintained and monitored carefully.  Details of charges will be included on the invoice which will be issued at the end of the assessment period and thereafter on a quarterly basis from the treatment programme commencing.

 Flexibility of Approach

Given the unique nature of the difficulties being experienced by its clients the Centre has always provided treatment in a flexible way. This approach is essential to ensure that the treatment given is the most appropriate.  While the programmes outlined are those accessed by most clients, the Centre is always happy to provide different or alternative programmes when required. The costs for individually designed programmes will be negotiated with the referrer.

The Centre would also wish to deliver its service flexibly to best suit the needs of both clients and referrers. The Centre is happy therefore to deliver the service either in-house or in a local area.

In total the Centre has available

7 consulting/interview rooms, 1 activity room, 2 conference/training rooms, 3 fully equipped playrooms, a library and ancillary accommodation.
